Habitus
Habitus is "a subjective but not individual system of internalised structures, schemes of perception, conception, and action common to all members of the same group or class" (p.86).
Lifestyle is the outward manifestation of habitus, the systematic ensemble of practices and preferences through which individuals express their position in the social space and distinguish themselves from others. This includes choices in consumption (food, clothing, leisure), cultural tastes (music, art, literature), language use, bodily comportment, and overall ways of living.
